Some of our major R&D services include new product development, shelf life study and enhancement, product stability studies and efficacy and research and surveys as well. We feel proud to share that we have developed several products in our R&D centre which have created a benchmark in the market.

Right here at our R&D centre, we have been successful in developing various new products for our customers. Some of them includes:
Beverages
- Badam Kesar Milk Fortification: Health drink full of nutrition. Useful for all age group people. Simple recipe of milk kesar fortified, with appropriate vitamin and mineral mix to provide adequate nutrition.
- Ready to drink Cocktail: An alcoholic drink produced by fermentation process of fruits, grains, sugar or other source of malt.
- Sugarcane Juice without preservatives: The product was developed with enhanced shelf-life of sugarcane juice without added chemical preservatives in non-refrigerated conditions. The objective make the availability of PRESERVED SUGARCANE JUICE even during off seasons and to provide preserved hygienic sugarcane juice to consumers.
Packaging Material
The interactions between foods and its packaging can disturb the quality and safety. Changes in product flavour due to aroma sorption and the transfer of undesirable flavours from packaging to food are important mechanisms of deterioration. Careful consideration must be given to those factors affecting such interactions when selecting packaging materials in order to maximize product quality, safety, and shelf‐life while minimizing undesirable changes.
Product considerations include sensitivity to flavour and related deteriorations, colour changes, vitamin loss, microbial activity, and amount of flavour available. Storage considerations include temperature, time, and processing method.
For the food packaging material, we provide R&D services for shelf life extension of food in contact, food grading, migration of substances, impact of packaging material on shelf life, microbial growth, etc.
Environment
We have successfully completed several projects for environment monitoring which includes testing and analysis of water, air, noise, sludge, soil, etc.
Projects for testing of water have been taken up in recent past with various state governments which manages the efficient system of water supply through the state, having district wise laboratory setups for analysing the quality of water supplied. FRAC was empanelled and selected to operate all the district laboratories setup and has provided around 4000 samples for testing monthly. Our team appointed in these labs were handed over the responsibility of sample collection from various water sources and analysing in their respective laboratories.
Food
- Therapeutic Food : Therapeutic food in general, is any food product or products, enhanced nutritionally, and thus, made to be more energy-dense and nutrient-dense.
- High Fibre Bread : High fibre is used to lower glucose levels, and increasing the dietary bulk. Rice bran contents were used as an ingredient to increase the nutritional value of bread. With this view point, the high fibre bread was prepared.
- Badam Kesar Milk Fortification : Health drink full of nutrition. Useful for all age group people. Simple recipe of milk kesar fortified, with appropriate vitamin and mineral mix to provide adequate nutrition.
- Diabodellite Cookies : New products were designed and developed for one of our customers from the bakery industry, new ingredients were introduced to increase the binding of the prepared cookies by our department and thereby, increasing the storage and logistics problem faced by them. This product was specially designed for diabetic patients to lower their blood pressure.
Efficacy
We actively collaborate with clients in developing and validating their products and technologies. We have undertaken several projects for customers holding renowned brands in the market for products which include water purifiers, air purifiers, etc. Stringent control on the multitude of physical, biological, and chemical parameters is maintained and documented so as to comply with ISO17025 and also for checking the product efficacy.
At FRAC, we have well established laboratory which is equipped with all necessary equipment, supported by well qualified and experienced technical team who ensures to provide accurate, meaningful and verifiable claims about products.
